The BABAT Student Relations Committee is pleased to announce the 2010 Student Paper Competition!

As part of our second annual paper competition, BABAT will award one student a $1000 honorarium for his/her work. In addition, this student will be given the opportunity to share his/her work to conference attendees via an address. Award details include:

·   Any current undergraduate, graduate student, or recent graduate (less than one calendar year after graduation) may submit a paper based upon research that was conducted while the student was enrolled.

·   The student must be the first and primary author of the paper. The submission must be accompanied by a letter (or email) from the student's advisor indicating that the student met the criteria for first authorship as outlined according to the APA guidelines.

·   The paper must meet APA publication guidelines and must be prepared as if for submission to a peer reviewed journal. The text must not exceed 30 typewritten pages (including references).

·   To facilitate blind review, the manuscript should be sent directly to the competition coordinator (StudentRelations@babat.org) who will remove the title page and distribute copies of the paper to reviewers. The manuscript cannot contain any information pertaining to the author or his or her affiliation.

·   Submissions not meeting these criteria will not be considered.

·   The Submission deadline is June 15, 2010. No submissions received after this date will be considered.

·   The winning student must agree to present their paper at the BABAT conference.
