The Beth Sulzer-Azaroff Distinguished Teaching Award
BABAT is proud to annually bestow The Beth Sulzer-Azaroff Award for Distinguished Teaching in honor of the founder of BABAT, Beth Sulzer-Azaroff. Beth’s vast accomplishments in the field of behavior analysis were accompanied by her steadfast dedication to her students. Through BABAT she established a platform for behavior analysts to continue to learn, grow, and be inspired. This award provides recognition and appreciation for Massachusetts adjunct or full-time faculty who have made considerable contributions to the field of Behavior Analysis through their dedication and excellence in teaching Behavior Analysis at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Through their leadership, inspirational teaching, and valued mentorship they help mold and inspire the next generation of behavior analysts, and in so doing shape the future of our field. The impact of their teaching leaves students excited to learn more and driven to explore new ways in which our science can be applied to issues of social importance. Entire careers are launched from their commitment to their students and creative approach to teaching, connecting, and igniting passion. Awardees will demonstrate extensive knowledge and mastery of behavior analytic subject matter, show innovation in course and curriculum design, and be a lasting source of guidance and inspiration for those fortunate enough to learn from them.
