Professional Bio

Dr. Stacie Bancroft holds a Ph.D. in behavior analysis and has over 25 years of experience in the field. She is the Owner and Senior Clinician at Growing Joy Consulting (GJC), a behavioral consulting firm, where she and her team are dedicated to helping children and families thrive. Dr. Bancroft has presented at conferences and events nationwide and has a strong background in both research and clinical practice. She has been published in several academic journals and has taught graduate courses in behavior analysis, developmental disabilities, and research methods at multiple esteemed universities.
In her family-based services, Dr. Bancroft employs a concierge model, working closely with families to identify their values, integrate them into daily routines, set short-term behavioral goals, and create tailored plans to achieve those goals. Through GJC’s provider services, she develops highly personalized support strategies based on evidence-based practices to address clients' unique needs. Dr. Bancroft also supports GJC’s work with numerous HeadStart locations, ensuring that educational services are sensitive to the needs of this specific provider group.
In addition, Dr. Bancroft serves as the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association for Behavior Analysis (BABAT), the state’s professional organization for behavior analysts, which has over 3,000 members. She resides locally with her husband and three children, and in her free time, enjoys cooking, having tea with friends, traveling, and hiking.
